Borajet to launch seasonal flights between Skopje and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçem

The turkish Borajet airline is launching weekly seasonal flights between Skopje and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçem Airport (21.04 - 27.10.2012)

The flights are operated saturdays only with one-way fares starting by 90€

Borajet will be the third airline competing on the Skopje-Istanbul route along with Turkish Airlines and Pegasus. It will be Borajet's second attempt of operating flights to/from SKP after they have flown Skopje-Bursa for a short period of time in 2010.

The macedonian Civil Aviation Agency released the timetable for the next summer season.

Update 03.06.2012  (due to the increased popularity of this article in the last few weeks)

Kon Tiki Sky have again started advertising flights to Skopje ( to begin on June 18 ) . There is no confirmation regarding these flights by the macedonian CAA yet , and you should NOT book any flight on their webpage until there is a statement from the macedonian authorities.

since the beginning of April Kon Tiki Sky have removed Skopje from their destinations list.
The flights are not happening!

Update 12.03.2012

according to their website , Kon Tiki Sky is now selling tickets only for Bratislava and its Italy bound flights (Ancona, Milan-Bergamo, Bologna, Triest and Rome) , all flights apparently to be begin on 07.05.2012. 

The start of the ticketsale for the rest of their distionations is pushed back to May,  and in the meantime they have axed their plans for opening a "base" in Antwerp.

There is no official information from the macedonian authorities regarding this development yet, and all this sudden change of routes and schedules is rather dubious.

The serbian LCC Kon Tiki Sky (part of the KON TIKI Travel Tour Opertor) on its website announced flights from Skopje to 14 destinations , for what it looks to be the biggest development at Skopje Alexander the Great Airport since the opening of the new terminal



The destinations are:


Antwerp (2 weekly flights , starting May 1st) 

and the following beginning from June 18th:

Ancona (3weekly), Milan-Bergamo (3w) , Bologna (3w) , Rome (4w), Trieste (4w) , Bratislava (4w) ,
Basel (5w), Düsseldorf- Weeze (4w) , Stuttgart (2w) , Hamburg (2w) ,  Berlin (2w) , Malmö (2x) , Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen (2w)

New charter to Stuttgart

The travel agency Air Prishtina is connecting Skopje and Stuttgart with a weekly flight (saturdays), starting June 30th. The flights will be operated by XL Airways Germany (One-way fares starting by 80EUR)

JAT resuming seasonal flights to Ohrid

JAT is increasing the frequency on their seasonal flights to Ohrid. Between June 15th and September 15th the airline is flying 5 times a week between Belgrade and Ohrid with the following routing BEG - SKP - OHD - BEG. The total number of Skopje flights during the same period increases to 13 weekly.

Is Czech Airlines ending its Skopje service?

Czech Airlines has at the moment closed reservation for all flights betwen PRG and Skopje after March 25th.

With the departure of Czech Airlines there will be no SkyTeam carrier left at SKP.
