Wizz Air announced new flights from Skopje to Paris , Brussels and Frankfurt Hahn

Wizz Air today announced the details for a further expansion of its services from the macedonian capital .

As of April 2014 Wizz Air is basing a second a/c (A320) at Skopje Airport and launching new services to Paris Beauvais, Brussels Charleroi and Frankfurt - Hahn , all operated twice weekly. Additionally , the following services will see an frequency increase :

Wizz Air is by far the biggest company operating at Skopje Airport , with currently  accounting for approximately 35 % of the total passenger traffic.














Germania to launch flights between Skopje and Berlin

The german carrier Germania is launching flights between Skopje and Berlin Schönefeld, starting December 20th. The route will be served twice weekly , Mondays and Fridays.

Wizz Air new to Stockholm Skavsta

Wizz Air is massively expanding its flights between Macedonia and Scandinavia.

Starting May 3rd Wizz Air will launch twice weekly  flights between Skopje and Stockholm Skavsta. The flights will operate Modays and Fridays.

Additionally Wizz Air is introducing a third weekly flight  between Skopje and Malmö.

Flydubai increases flights to Macedonia

Flydubai is introducing a third weekly flight between Skopje and Dubai starting June 16th.

The new Sunday flight will operate with the following schedule:

FZ 791 DXB 0915 SKP 1240
FZ 792 SKP 13.25 DXB 20.35

Pegasus adds 4th weekly Skopje - Istanbul flight in W12/13

With the start of the new winter schedule Pegasus is adding a 4th weekly service on its Istanbul S. Gokcen - Skopje route (beginning Nov 2 operating every Friday)

Schedule:
PC711 SAW 1105 - SKP 1135
PC712 SKP 1215 - SAW 1440

Adding the 10 weekly flights operated by Turkish Airlines to Skopje in the next winter season, Istanbul will remain the busiest route out of Skopje Alexander the Great Airport

Kon Tiki Sky granted licence for double daily Skopje - Bucharest flights

The macedonian CAA has granted license to the romanian airline Alfa Air ( Kon Tiki Sky ) for operating double daily flights between Skopje and Bucharest Otopeni, for the period between 18.06 and 30.09.2012.

Alfa Air flights are were showing up in the schedule on the Skopje Airport's official webpage ( here the SKP schedule for 18.06.2012  ). However, this airline should be continued to be treated with caution, as all their plans in operating flights in the past have never realized.

The airline on its website (kontikisky.com) is currently advertising flights from Skopje to the following destinations: Basel, Stuttgart , Düsseldorf-Weeze, Berlin, Hamburg and Malmö all with a stop in Bucharest.

Wizz Air to launch 6 new routes from Skopje

as anounced today by the macedonian government Wizz is openning the following six routes from Skopje:

Dortmund, Eindhoven, Munich-Memmingen, Milan  (twice weekly starting 28Oct)
Malmö (twice weekly starting 29Oct)
Basel (three weekly starting 30Oct)

With the start of the next Winter schedule (end of October), Wizzair is opening a base at Skopje Alexander the Great Airport, launching flights to at least six new destinations. From an interview with the macedonian prime minister these destinations will include : Dortmund , Munich (Memmingen), Malmö, Eindhoven, Milan and Basel.

The official statement with all the detailed information regarding this development is expected for June 21st.

Wizzair is already operating flights to the macedonian capital, from London Luton and Venice-Treviso.
